I DO BELIEVE THAT THE COACH IS MADE OF SOLID GOLD BECAUSE IT IS SO HEAVY. I DO NOT BELIEVE THAT THE CORONATION COACH IS MADE OF GILDED WOOD BECAUSE WOOD IS MUCH LIGHTER THAN STEEL AND THE COACH WILL ONLY BE LESS THAN 2 TONS IF MADE MOSTLY OF WOOD.

Apparently, the coach, as a method of travel, is so uncomfortable and poorly designed, everyone who has ever ridden in it, from George IV to Queen Elizabeth absolutely hated every minute in it. Apparently Victoria really hated it. And apparently when Queen Elizabeth rode in it for Her coronation, she hated every minute in the lumbering, bumpy, swaying monstrosity. They did drag it out for Her Majesty’s 70th Jubilee, but a holographic Queen rode inside it.
